Intracom University Holds Working Meeting to Explore Cooperation Opportunities with Qingdao University (China)

In the context of globalization and the growing trend of expanding international educational cooperation, establishing partnerships with reputable educational institutions worldwide is a crucial task to enhance the quality of education and training. Recognizing the importance of international academic collaboration, on September 26, 2025, Intracom University welcomed and held a working meeting with a delegation from Qingdao University (China). The meeting was attended by Dr. Ngo Xuan Binh – Acting President, Dr. Nguyen Quoc Tu – Vice President, Mr. Duong Van Ba – Vice President, along with representatives from the Office of International Cooperation, the Faculty of Chinese Language, and the Faculty of Information Technology.

The delegation from Qingdao University was led by Prof. He Yan (何燕) – Vice President, and included Prof. Wang Yunbo (汪运波) – Director of the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange, Prof. Xu Changhai (许长海) – Dean of the Institute of Textile and Fashion, and Prof. Zhou Yunxu (周允旭) – Dean of the Institute of International Education.

Overview of Qingdao University

Located in Qingdao City, Shandong Province (China), Qingdao University was established in 1993 through the merger of four educational institutions: Qingdao University, Qingdao Medical College, Shandong Textile Engineering College, and Qingdao Normal College. Today, it is one of the leading comprehensive universities in Shandong Province, offering multidisciplinary education with notable strengths in economics, management, technology, foreign languages, medicine and healthcare, and particularly textile and fashion studies.

Amid deepening international integration and the trend of Chinese enterprises expanding into global markets, Qingdao University has established partnerships with more than 170 universities and research institutes across over 20 countries. The University is currently prioritizing the expansion of educational cooperation in Southeast Asia, with Vietnam identified as a strategic and high-potential market for joint training and bilateral research programs.

Cooperation between Intracom University and Qingdao University

During the meeting, both sides reached consensus on several key areas of cooperation aligned with their respective strengths. Notably, student and faculty exchange programs were highlighted, creating opportunities for learning, research, and teaching in international academic environments.

The two universities also discussed the implementation of joint training programs (2+2, 3+1), enabling students to study at both institutions and potentially earn degrees from one or both universities, thereby enhancing their global competitiveness.

In addition, collaboration in scientific research and the co-organization of international conferences in fields such as information technology, textile and fashion, and Chinese language and culture will be further promoted.

Beyond academic cooperation, both institutions emphasized the importance of connecting with enterprises in Vietnam and China, aiming to build an integrated ecosystem that links education, internships, and expanded employment opportunities for students of both universities.

Through this working session, Intracom University expressed its appreciation for Qingdao University’s cooperative spirit and highly valued the strong potential for collaboration between the two institutions in the context of internationalizing education. University representatives noted that partnering with a prestigious institution such as Qingdao University would open up numerous development opportunities for both faculty members and students.

Toward Long-Term Cooperation

The meeting concluded successfully with both sides agreeing to maintain regular communication through their respective Offices of International Cooperation, ensuring timely information exchange, effective implementation of agreed initiatives, and the exploration of additional areas of collaboration. In the near future, Intracom University plans to send a delegation to Qingdao University (China) to conduct site visits and engage in in-depth discussions on joint education and research programs, with the aim of moving toward the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This will lay a solid foundation for a sustainable, effective, and internationally oriented bilateral partnership.

Both universities also expressed their expectation that this cooperation will soon provide international learning experiences, research participation, internships, and access to high-quality global networks for students of Intracom University.
