Faculty of Foreign Languages

In the context of globalization, the demand for foreign language proficiency is increasing rapidly in fields such as international trade, logistics, tourism, healthcare, engineering, information technology, communications and education. Human resource reports in Vietnam show that the employment rate of language graduates within the first 12 months after graduation is over 85%, especially if they have good application and practical skills.

1. General introduction

The Faculty of Foreign Languages ​​- Intracom University was established to train high-quality applied foreign language human resources, meeting the increasing needs of society in the period of international integration and global digital transformation. The Faculty currently trains two main majors: English Language and Chinese Language (expected), along with parallel training programs, second degrees, work-study and distance learning.

Intracom University positions the Faculty of Foreign Languages ​​as a center for training bilingual human resources for the entire Intracom Group ecosystem and partner businesses, helping students to both study and intern, and have job opportunities immediately after graduation.

With the motto “Learn for real – Do it”, the Faculty aims to develop students to become global citizens, using foreign languages ​​as a tool for work, research, entrepreneurship and international connection. This is also one of the key faculties in the “Digital University – Application – Integration” strategy of Intracom University for the period 2025 – 2030.

Studying foreign languages ​​at Intracom University is not just about learning languages, but also about learning how to apply foreign languages ​​in real-life careers. The Faculty’s program is designed to apply – integrate – experience, with 5 distinct advantages:

Clear specialized orientation
Majors are differentiated according to career orientation such as Translation – Interpretation, International Trade, Engineering – Technology, and Medicine, meeting the specific needs of businesses and society.
International learning environment
Students study with lecturers from Vietnam, China and other English-speaking countries. Student exchange programs – joint training with universities in China and the UK are held annually.
Application of technology and “immersion” methods
Teaching through LMS platforms, video learning materials, AI Chatbot for speaking practice, practice through simulation projects, and bilingual classes combining online and offline help students use foreign languages ​​fluently in a digital context.
Practical Study – Practice – Internship
Students are interned at Intracom Group and member enterprises in the ecosystem (QTEDU, Phuong Dong Hospital, Intracom Construction …), both studying and experiencing, ensuring immediate employment after graduation.
Modern educational methods
– The Faculty applies the Holistic Education model combined with the Socratic teaching method, emphasizing critical thinking – group discussion – learning through projects.
– The Faculty uses a curriculum built according to an international program, with native lecturers, integrating professional skills, and internships in the Intracom ecosystem.
– Subjects are designed interdisciplinary, integrating culture, economics, society and technology, helping students not only “learn language” but also “learn to work and develop”.

At the same time, students participate in community service activities, cooperation projects with domestic and foreign organizations, forming leadership capacity and social responsibility.

3. Resources

The Faculty of Foreign Languages ​​is currently under the direct charge of Dr. Nguyen Quoc Tu – Vice Principal and Head of the Faculty, with a team of 02 PhDs and 06 Masters graduated from the UK, China and Vietnam.

Lecturers at Intracom University are young, dynamic, well-trained in modern teaching methods, have experience teaching in international environments and regularly participate in training courses and seminars at home and abroad.

4. Facilities

The Faculty’s classrooms are equipped with interactive screens, international standard sound and lighting systems, translation practice rooms, modern listening and speaking labs, electronic libraries and open learning spaces.

In addition, students can practice and work part-time at the Vocational Practice Center, the Foreign Language – Information Technology Center, and businesses in the Intracom ecosystem, creating a sustainable link between study and career.

Scientific research and international cooperation

– Every year, lecturers and students of the Faculty have at least 01 scientific research topic or international article.

– Each lecturer has at least 150 hours of research/year, in addition to the standard 270 hours of teaching.

– The Faculty is expanding cooperation with universities in China and the UK in the fields of teaching, student exchange, language – culture – translation research and artificial intelligence (AI) in education.
